Blue Skies by Irving Berlin
I was blue, just as blue as I could be
Evry day was a cloudy day for me
Then good luck came a-knocking at my door
Skies were grey but they're not grey anymore
Blue skies
Smiling at me
Nothing but blue skies
Do I see
Bluebirds
Singing a song
Nothing but bluebirds
All day long
Never saw the sun shining so bright
Never saw things going so right
Noticing the days hurrying by
When youre in love, my how they fly
Blue days
All of them gone
Nothing but blue skies
From now on
I though this song is pretty apt to describe the afternoon sky these days. Last week, there were so many white, fluffy, cotton-candy-ish clouds. More than I've ever seen for the past 6 weeks. It was pretty cold last week. BUT this week is completely different! It's super, duper, uber H-O-T. And I mean REALLY HOTTT. For most part of the week, it's over 40 degrees Celsius! The sun's literally scorching my skin.
Plus, there are hardly any clouds at all. For the whole of today, I didn't even see a single cubic mm of cloud in the sky. The sky in the morning and afternoon was really blue. The sky glowed a beautiful tint of azure. I've never seen skies so blue until I came to Perth.

Neon by John Mayer
When sky blue gets dark enough
To see the colours of the city lights
A trail of ruby red and diamond white
Hits her like a sunrise
The Rainbow Song by Linus Mark Lim
Red and yellow and pink and green
Purple and orange and blue
I can sing a rainbow
Sing a rainbow
Sing a rainbow too!
I looked out of the back-seat window of my aunt's car, only to find entire colour SPECTRUM painted on the sky! It was B-R-E-A-T-H-T-A-K-I-N-G!
You can never find a scene as picturesque as this in Singapore because firstly, there are too many clouds in Singapore and secondly, there are too many tall skyscrapers, apartments and HDB flats. Over here, there are no clouds and the buildings are relatively low, so you can have an unobstructed view of the sky.
The hemisphere of colours that hanged above me just a few hours ago at 8pm was a sight to behold. Dark purple surrounds the edges of the skyline, then purplish pink, then red, then orange, then yellow, followed by a smudgy array of colours. And at the centre of this mass of colours was the bluest of blues.
