So here's a breakdown of what we REALLY did during some of my classes... apart from listening attentively to the teacher and studying, of course!
Last Thursday's Physics class was at the last period of the day - 3.15 to 5pm. As usual, Esther and I were high during the 15 min break before Physics class. We got high-er (if that's even humanly possible) when class started. As a result, the "Union of THE Bench" was born. Without question, I was the one who started it... wahahaha
Thursday, 24th May 2007, marked the inaugural meeting of the Union of THE Bench. THE union consists of Esther, Kang Wee and I. We even signed a written agreement (in my diary) with the Dr. Coke Bottle as our witness. (don't ask me what on earth the coke bottle was doing on our bench. I don't know.)
Here's the proof:

Sorry.. it's kinda blur. Taken with a camera-phone.
For your information, I wasn't being random for the sake of being random. It started when Esther and I had a question for Kang Wee but had a hard time trying to phrase it properly and subtly, yet obvious enough to be understood immediately. To make things easier, I said that whatever that was said at THE bench will remain at THE bench. But still, we couldn't put the question in words. The OTHER bench whose members were eavesdropping on our hilarious (albeit incoherent) conversation started looking at us with incredulous looks and laughed, although none of us knew what exactly they were laughing at! HAHA! It was then that we realized that we were kinda loud and that other people were prying into our conversations. In the end, Esther just asked the question simply and straightforwardly. (You go gal!)
Our bench meetings have continued every Physics lesson thus far, though none have been as fun as the 1st meeting. Still, the Union of THE Bench has been put to good use when we wrote a lil b'dae note (signed with love by the Union of THE Bench, of course) for Pav who's b'dae is today. By the way, she's part of the OTHER bench. Her bench members are hilarious too!
During chemistry that same Thursday, Boo and I did paired up to do a titration which required as to titrate Sodium Hydroxide against some carbonate (can't remember exactly what though), using Methyl Orange as an indicator. After we were done with the whole experiment, we decided to mix all the remaining chemicals into one conical flask which was usual practice for me anyway, back in MGS, haha.
Out of our boredom, perhaps, I suggested to Boo to use my phone to take a video while I poured excess Sodium Hydroxide into the hot pink aqueous solution. You can see the colour changes quite clearly. Pav even placed her already-yellow solution beside mine to 'enhance' our Chemistry demonstration, although it was totally impromptu.
That was, by far, the most enjoyable Chemistry lesson this year! Titration's are always fun!
Last Friday, for ELACS, we watched Bend It Like Beckham as part of course on the topic of Multiculturalism. Though it wasn't my 1st time watching the film, it was still nice and funny! PLUS, it re-emphasised the point that I had been trying to make all week as it confirmed that Phing (or Ping Pong Possum, as we call her) has a thing for guys with names starting with "J", especially for Johns. Though Tony/Anthony or Bob suits her fine too! Muahaha
Today, Physics was fun too! We had almost the entire 1 & 3/4 hours to do the experiment on moments about a pivot. After we were done with the experiment, Esther and I went trigger-happy!
Have you seen a model of the Solar System that is similar to this? My Physics teacher thinks that this is one of the worse models. It's true because the proportions of the sizes of the planets and their distances from the Sun are completely off.

Actually, there are more photos, but I have yet to bluetooth them from Esther.
Happy Holidays to those back in Singapore who are currently enjoying their June hols! Mine are only in mid-July... 1.5 months more to go. At least, I've got a long weekend - 4 days cause tomorrow's Student Free Day & Monday's Foundation Day. Whoohoo!
