Another summer day
Has come and gone away
In Paris and Rome
But I wanna go home
Maybe surrounded by
A million people
I still feel all alone
I just wanna go home
Oh, I miss you, you know
And I’ve been keeping all the letters that I wrote to you
Each one a line or two
“I’m fine baby, how are you?”
Well I would send them but I know that it’s just not enough
My words were cold and flat
And you deserve more than that
Another aeroplane
Another sunny place
I’m lucky I know
But I wanna go home
I’ve got to go home
Let me go home
I’m just too far from where you are
I wanna come home
And I feel just like I’m living someone else’s life
It’s like I just stepped outside
When everything was going right
And I know just why you could not
Come along with me
Cause this was not your dream
But you always believed in me
Another winter day has come
And gone away
In even Paris and Rome
And I wanna go home
Let me go home
And I’m surrounded by
A million people
I still feel all alone
Oh, let me go home
Oh, I miss you, you know
Let me go home
I’ve had my run
Baby, I’m done
I gotta go home
Let me go home
It will all be all right
I’ll be home tonight
I’m coming back home

It's a nice song, no? How apt! I'm HOME - in Singapore! I arrived last Thursday. Although not entirely apt... I mean, come on, I'll probably not wanna return home anytime soon IF I'm in Paris or Rome (or Spain, for that matter)... or so I think....
Anyway, it's nice to be back. In the midst of my exams (before Calculus, to be exact), I got VERY high and was VERY exicited to be going home soon. Though I must admit that it was a super last minute decision, which just added to all the excitement. Esther and I were experiencing bouts of randomness - a sort of highness that we couldn't explain. So we termed the incurable disease we suffered: the pre post-exam euphoria!
Another symptom of this horrid disease is increased 'blur-ness'.
When Esther and I entered the exam hall for our Calculus exam, we realised that most seats have already been filled so we naturally walked to area of the gym where majority of the seats were still empty. As I approached one of these tables, I realised that there was a thick stack of notes on Australian society or something similar, on the table. I thought to myself, "Since when do we have notes for a Calculus exam? Ah! A girl (or guy) who took an earlier exam must have left these here by accident. I glanced at the table which Esther was standing close to; a similar stack of notes was on that table too. I glanced back down to the table that I was (kinda) towering over. Wait... wait a minute! Oh my goodness! It's not a Calculus exam paper! It's Legal and Political Studies! Oh my, oh my!
What am embarrassing situation! Especially when more a few people saw our silly mistake.... We walked over to our correct tables with sheepish looks on our faces...
Physics was our last paper. THE bench union decided to get adjacent seats at the gym, so that we would sit in exactly the same position as we normally do during Physics lessons. We exchanged smses to discuss our plan to conquer the gym and conquer Physics!
ALL HAIL THE BENCH UNION!
Alas! Someone forgot about our arrangement. Traitor!
But I must learn to forgive and forget! Lol.
After Physics exam, I had effectively 1.5 hours to pack my suitcase from scratch! It was quite a mad rush all the way to the airport!
4/5 of the AF was there to pick me up from the airport! Oh! How sweet of them! They stood outside the arrival hall and held up a poster against one of the glass panels. You know, those signs which people normally hold up at airports to receive tourists or important people that they have yet to meet.
The one Jam, Ellice, Lai and Dra collectively held up had "Welcome Back to Singapore" on one side. And had on the other side: "LEE SU ERN, WALK FASTER!!" Though I mildly surprised them by turning up at the baggage collection area much faster than most of the other travellers.
Seeing them and talking to them make me realise that nothing much has changed. They haven't changed much since I last saw them. However, it does feel different and slightly weird being back here. It feels as though nothing much as changed; as if I have never left. Perth seems to be like a distant dream, which barely exists. At the same time, it also feels like I've left for a long time; Singapore feels a little foreign and strange. But home's still home.
We took mrt from Changi all the way to the West. BUT Yours Truly didn't have a single Singapore cent on her! So she had to act pitiful and beg the auntie at the mrt control station to let her get on board the train.
NO! Of course not! My dearest friends were all so nice to chip in to the "Send Lee Su Ern Home Fund".
We all went a little crazy in the mrt, as expected. We started taking random pictures using Jam's spankin' new, shiny, for-vain-pots-only LG phone!

Dra and the Huggies box which supposedly contained her this year and next year's b'dae prezzie!
Dra and Lai
Dra, Ellice & I

More handsigns... No, this so was NOT my idea loh!

My personal favourite pic!
Together, we all watched Transformers! Storyline's predictable (then again, which storyline isn't?) but it's very COOL! At first I thought it was just a boys-only kinda movie, but Jam and Dra (who had already watched it and were eager to watch it again, for the 2nd time) begged to differ. It's a really fun movie to watch.
Watched Die Hard 4.0 with Freda.
Both Transformers and Die Hard re-emphasize just how uber cool it is to work for the FBI! All the gadgets, computers and wits. whoohoo!
I'm gonna watch Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with the other 4/5 of the AF. Hopefully, it'll be good. Though it's gonna be dark. And hopefully, Phoebe (the missing 1/6 of AF) can join us soon!
P.S.: [to Thau & Easter Egg]: Nope.. sorry to disappoint ya'all, but I ain't got no lover here. Unless you consider AF, my love!
