Oooooooooooooo!

I found out last week that Jay Chou's having a concert in Singapore in January! I must go, since I been "starved" of concerts. I'll elaborate further down the post.

Guess what? I just realized that SOOOO many singers are going to KL for a music festival in late Nov to early Dec!

Just to name a few:
A*Mei
Fish Leong
Taufik Batisah (1st Singapore Idol)
Jaclyn Victor (1st Malaysian Idol. I think she pwns the other Idols!)
James Ingram (he sang "Somewhere out there" with Linda Ronstadt)
James Taylor
Whitney Houston! (Woah!)

Then I got really Really REALLY excited when I saw the following names:
ELLIOTT YAMIN!!!!! (He's my favourite male American Idol contestant EVER! He should have won season 5!)

JAMES MORRISON!!!!! (I've only recently started to listen to his songs. He's another JM that I like!! I've knighted him as JM2. John Mayer is JM. LOLX)

The song which you should have heard (or should be hearing now) when you clicked on my blog is James Morrison's cover of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror". I first heard this song when Natalie Gauci sang it on Acoustic Night of Australian Idol. Her version is quite similar to JM2's. Then I youtubed the song & found MJ's performance of this with a gospel choir during the 1988 Grammy Awards. I can't stop listening to this song, esp JM2's acoustic version!

AHHHH!!! I REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY (you geddit) want to go & watch JM2 & Elliott live!

The only concert I've been to this year was the Chick Corea one in April. I'm still very sore that I couldn't watch John Mayer this year because I was underage & thus couldn't go for the festival w/o a guardian/parent. URGH! I couldn't catch Christina Aguilera live in Perth coz I was back in Singapore. I couldn't see Josh Groban live because his concert was in the middle of my mock exams. It seems that I have no "affinity" with concerts at all!

Tonnes of acts have visited Perth in the past year. Keith Urban, Snow Patrol, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte, Kaiser Chiefs, Herbie Hancock, Brooke Fraser, Josh Groban, Christina, JM, etc.

Boney M's playing tomorrow (Ra ra rasputin!! LOL)
Justin Timberlake's coming in a few days. (There are bar stool tickets which are going for AUD500+ each!!!! Apparantly there's gonna be a bar on stage or back stage or something. Anyway his Gold tickets sold like HOTCAKES!)
RENT, the musical starring Anthony Callea (Pretty eyes!)! He's the runner-up of Australian Idol Season 2. He holds the record for the highest-selling & fasting-selling single in Australia for "The Prayer". The previous record holder was Guy Sebastian.

I'm so "jealous" of Adeline! Lolx. She's in London! Whoohoo! She gets to see all the cool people! Anyways, I can't wait for a class reunion of some sort when I get back to Singapore!
