AN OUTDATED POST!

I'm really sorry for not updating earlier. To those people who have been pestering me to update: here it is, finally!
Well, I planned to blog bout O levels and all a LONG time ago, but never really got about doing it.
I thank God for helping me through my Os and for blessing me with pretty satisfactory results. Though chemistry was rather disappointing (lai how did you get A1 for chem????) but my shocking higher chinese results (even my parents couldn't believe it! haha) kinda made up for it. so PRAISE GOD for everything!
A BIG SHOUT-OUT to AF! I'm so proud of dude-essses!!! You all did fantastic at Os! Especially Lai, our dearest 9A1s-n-1C6 scholar! I heard you are famous in Hwa Chong! Congrats! :) The rest of you all did very well too! MG did well, overall, didn't we? MG rawks! Hopefully, we did our teaches proud!
By the way, whilst collecting my Os results, my mum managed to do 2 things in 1 day which I NEVER got to do in all my 4 years at MGS:

1) Got to shake Ms. Kon's hand
2) Got to see Ms. Kon grin from ear to ear
So anyway to celebrate the Os (or rather celebrating that Os was over and the nerve-wrecking wait for my results was over) I did two things!

1) I ate LOTS of mangoes! oooooh! I simply LURVE mangoes!! My uncle bought two boxes of mangoes from the wet market!
As you can see, I couldn't resist eating some mangoes before taking the picture!

2) I got a new haircut!

I'll blog about college n all very soon. I've got lots to tell you but I'm very sleepyyy... *yawns*

Reminiscing...

MY O LEVEL RESULTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY 090207 at 1430! AH!!!!! SO FRREEAAAKKKKYYYYYYYY!!!!

I'll be in class at 1430. So I guess I'll have to ask my lecturer for special permission to leave my phone switched on and to take the call when my mom calls me, with my results..
Dra kindly reminded me that they'll all get to sing the MG school song again on friday, but I won't be able to! Ah!

"With loving hearts and joyous song, we sing to M G S...
... today our hearts confess the debt we owe, the love we hold, for our dear M G S"

All you MG gals, sing as loudly as you can! AF, sing louder, on my behalf, k? Make sure I can hear you from Perth! Btw Jam and Dra, remember to do the "M" *ring bell, hit table* "G" *ring bell, hit table* "S" *ring bell, hit table* thingy okay?

I MISS AF!

I MISS MY FRIENDS!

I MISS MGS!

I can't believe that I don't study at MG anymore. It's so sad. I never thought I'd miss it so much! Of course, I miss all my MG frens as well!

But as Mrs Yap puts it, "You can take the MG girl out of MGS, but you can NEVER take MGS out of the girl."

So here's a picture of the last supper with the AF! It's probably the 1st and the last complete photo of the revamped AF!

Founder's Day Dinner: Table 56!

Timetables and Cell

Yesterday was great fun! It took the monotony out of my week.

Went to college in the morning to collect timetable. I woke up at 7.45am which is my earliest in the past week.

Was a whee bit lost when i got to college. Then one of the officers told me my room no. and the direction in which to walk. You see, we were spilt up according to our last names. I, obviously, was in the group with all the "L" people. So Wei Ni and I were in the same group. There were aussies there and other asians there as well.

But my oh my! Where they really really tall! These two aussies were like REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY tall! Like WAY WAY WAY past 6 ft. It was really intimidating! I wasn't the shortest in my group. but still! When one of them held the door for us, I felt like a total midget when I walked past the door! But this guy had intense green eyes (Jam, u'll lurve them! haha. But too bad Jam, i'm afraid he doesnt have dark hair. his hair was kinda red. quite interesting though. haha).

So anyways, my timetable is actually pretty good! I end super duper uber early on wed! At a remarkable 12.35 pm! Whoohoo! I end sch at 3+pm on fri but end sch at bout 5 pm on the rest of the weekdays.

And i have a maths subject EVERYDAY...

BUT i HAVEN'T found a person who even shares ONE class with me!?!?! How pathetic is that? I've got friends who share my exact subject combination or 2 to 3 similar subjects, but yet i'm NOT in the same classes as them! Aiyo! So come mon will be an interesting day eh? We'll see, we'll see.

Come fri will also be a very interesting day. Coz apparently it's when the O levels results are announced! Thank God i'm not there to collect it myself. I almost fainted when they were gonna give out the results for O level express chinese last year. And it was only 1 subject. I'll totally freak out now coz it's 9 subjects! My parents have the honour of carrying that "burden" coz they are gonna collect my results on behalf of me! haha

After collecting our timetables and going for a short college tour (which the international students had already attended), i followed Wei Ni, Jane, Fedora and their roomies to Carousel (a shopping centre). May joined us later. So we spent the afternoon there.

Yesterday evening I went for one of Zion Praise Harvest's cell group gatherings. At first I was VERY apprehensive. Coz my closest friends were not going. I knew that some students from Canning College were going. But i didn't know who exactly were the ones going. But i did know that they'll probably be mere acquaintances. Like I know you, but i don't really KNOW you.

But thank God that Aileen and Grace encouraged me to go. So i FINALLY decided to go. I'm very glad i went!

There were bout maybe 25-30 of us? Mostly from students or graduates from Curtin university. Some, like me, are college students. We played games (including a complex version of scissors, paper, stone which involved lots of mad running and bumping into people. It really was quite a dangerous game! haha).

Then we had a time of worship. Even though it was just a simple time of worship, with just a guitar accompanying and it was quite short, but I still enjoyed it thoroughly! [Oh! How i miss worship and cell in my church back in S'pore!].

Since there were quite a no. of newbies, including yours truly, so we had a round of self introductions. We were suppose to tell all of them our names, where we are from, where and what we're studying now and our funniest ambitions. Some of those ambitions were really funny, some were innocently childish, some were just plain gross - superman, spiderman, tai tai, shao ye, Schumacher's daughter, Ariel (little mermaid) and even erm.... stripper! yikes! lol

Thereafter, someone shared the Word. Then we had some fellowship time over food.

So it was really quite good. And I'm definitely glad that I went in the end! It's great to know that I've got many sisters and brothers-in-Christ in college and in curtin university.

SO I CAN'T WAIT FOR CHURCH TOMORROW AND FOR COLLEGE TO START ON MON! and even for my O level results (though i'm kinda nervous bout it too)
