My blog's alive!! I've resurrected it!
What better day to start blogging again than on 29th Feb?
Many things have happened since 17th Nov. Too many. I don't even know where to start. So I shan't. If I feel like it, I might randomly upload old pictures or retell some anedoctes, if I feel like it.
As you probably already know, I'm studying Law/Commerce (Accounting) at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Orientation was held during the past week. Lectures start next week.
When I was in Singapore, I wasn't really excited about starting uni, but now, I'm a whee bit more excited than before.
3 other girls from Canning College (May, Janet & Ya Sheng) are also taking Law. Though, sadly, I do not share any lectures or tutorials with May or Janet...
There are quite a lot of Asian students taking Commerce. However, there seem to be just a handful of Asians taking Law. Frankly, this can be rather intimidating. But oh wells... let's hope I'll make more Aussie friends.
And oh! The top student in the Western Australian high school public examinations (TEE) is also taking Law. I saw him quite a few times earlier today. It seems he even has mini fan club or something. He appeared in the newspaper, so I suppose he's quite famous.
You know what? It takes me 1 hour by bus to get to uni. I've got 2 change buses somewhere along the way. Actually, it's not really 'along the way', I need to double back to get to the uni. I need to get up at least 2 hours before lects/tutes start in order to reach uni on time. Thank God that my lects/tutes all start at 10am (except during the 1st week, coz I've got introductory Law lectures & on Mondays... coz I've got NO lects/tutes on Mondays! I planned my timetable really well - it took me MANY hours to do this).
Khang Wee had a random (and freakkyy) chat with a young Aussie couple a few weeks ago at the Esplanade city busport. THAT was hilarious! Very odd and over-friendly couple.
I had my own 'random' conversation at the city busport too. It started when I asked if that particular bus goes to Curtin University (my uncle picks me up from there). Then, on the bus, the conversation continued till I got off. It was very pleasant, unlike KW's convo.
Funny, it was just yesterday when Janet, David (Janet's BF) & I were discussing about Asians & Aussies and about Asians normally having to take the first step when talking to Aussies.
I'm sorry if my whole post appears disjointed & incoherent. I'm really sleepy... but I thought I better blog NOW, if not who knows when will be the next time I blog!
